Objectives:

  • Understand how generative AI can enhance learning: Develop educational materials (quizzes, simulations, games) and personalize learning experiences for better information retention.

  • Equip students with future-ready skills: Foster understanding of AI ethics, its societal role, and career preparation in the AI job market.

  • Improve AI for education: Schools can identify areas for improvement in AI tools and contribute to developing new educational applications.

  • Facilitate collaboration: Organize workshops with AI experts, teachers, and students to co-design guidelines for managing opportunities and risks of AI adoption in schools.

PR2 - AI training course

Summary of the Work Package on AI and Content Creation Course

This work package focuses on creating and testing a school course on "AI and Content Creation" for secondary schools.

Objectives:

  • Develop a training course on the opportunities and applications of generative AI in content creation.

  • Pilot the course with students in Germany to gather feedback and improve the content.

  • Translate the course material into English and the partner languages for wider use.

PR3 - AI2SCHOOL PLATFORM AND CHATBOT to spread Generative AI in schools

Summary of Work Package on AI2SCHOOL Platform and Chatbot

This work package centers around developing and deploying resources to spread the use of generative AI in schools.

Objectives:

  • Create an AI2SCHOOL Web Platform as a central repository for all project materials, including training courses, chatbots, inspirational readings, and assessment tools.

  • Develop an AI2SCHOOL Chatbot as an innovative tool for students to engage in real-world applications of generative AI.

  • Organize workshops in partner countries to introduce the developed tools (training course, chatbot) to secondary school teachers and demonstrate their use in class activities.

  • Establish a competency assessment process aligned with the latest version of DigComp (v2.2) to evaluate AI skills.

This work package contributes to the project's goals by creating a platform and tools to disseminate knowledge on generative AI, train teachers, and assess student competencies, ultimately promoting AI adoption in schools.
